The Montessori Advancement Organization (“MAO”) has been organized exclusively for charitable purposes. The goal of the MAO is to help children by maximizing learning through the adherence of the Montessori approach to education.

The MAO plans to provide financial assistance to benefit students in need of to attend Montessori schools. In addition to providing student financial assistance, the MAO will provide ongoing training and education support opportunities for Montessori teachers.

The MAO anticipates providing funding for experiential learning outside the traditional classroom. The goal is to help students see classroom coursework at work in the real world in order to gain a better understanding of the subject matter through field trip activities, hands-on research and learning experiences, access to guest speakers on subjects the students are learning about in school, and contributions to causes tied to the curriculum.
